Hi Beth…I know all the firsts must be so hard. Thanksgiving without your life partner had to be hard. I know your kiddos helped fill the void. Christmas is a hard holiday for many people. Just hold on to all your wonderful memories, keep your kiddos close and you will weather the storm. Thank you for keeping us entertained with your blog, I look forward to it everyday. Loved several of your looks today. I am not a fan of jeans after a certain age, but to each their own, what ever works!

My fashion rule to break is hair color. When I stopped coloring, I had a wonderful surprise–silver white hair. It runs on my Mother’s famy and thrilled that I have it.

    Hi Beth!
I would like to see how to incorporate jeans and existing holiday tops into dressing for casual gatherings. I do own several long velvet skirts and am considering donating them as I just don’t have formal occasions to attend anymore. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

All great looks! I love this time of year. Keep up the mixing casual/dressy items–they look elegant and modern when two disparate items are combined, I think. I am a fan of winter clothes–and fortunately, I live where we do get all 4 seasons, but in a much milder, shorter variety. So boots, fun shoes, scarves, sweaters, jackets, vests, tights…it’s all good!
