Blueberry Gin & Tonic Delish 1 cup fresh or frozen

Blueberry Gin & Tonic
Delish
1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
2 Tbsp. granulated sugar
2 Tbsp. water
Ice
3 oz. gin
12 oz. tonic water
Lime or lemon wedges, for serving

In a small saucepan over medium heat, bring blueberries, granulated sugar, and water to a simmer. Reduce heat to medium-low and cook, stirring often, until most blueberries have burst, about 5 minutes. Transfer to a small bowl and refrigerate until chilled.
Divide 4 tbsp. blueberry syrup between 2 ice-filled glasses. Add gin and top with tonic water. Add more blueberry syrup or tonic water to taste. Garnish with a lime or lemon wedge.

Quiche Lorraine

1 ~9" Pie Dough
4 Eggs (Plus 1 egg white for egg wash)
4 Strips of Bacon
1 Medium Onion, Diced
1 cup Gruyere Cheese (or Swiss), grated
1/4 cup Parmesan, grated
1.5 cups Heavy Cream
1/4 tsp. Nutmeg
1/4 tsp. Black Pepper
1/2 tsp. Kosher Salt
Herb Salad
1 bunch Flat Leaf Parsley
1 small to Medium Shallot
Drizzle of Olive Oil
Splash of your favorite Vinegar (Apple Cider, Balsamic, Red Wine, etc)
pinch of Kosher Salt
pinch of Black Pepper

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Line a 9-10" Pie plate with dough and flute edges. Lay parchment over dough and place dried beans in bottom. Blind bake for 8 minutes.
Remove beans and parchment from dough and brush bottom with egg wash and bake for 5 more minutes.
Reduce oven temperature to 375 degrees.
Fry or bake bacon. Set bacon on a paper towel-lined plate. Reserve 1 tablespoon of bacon grease for cooking onions.
Sauté onions over low to medium heat for about 20 minutes, until lightly caramelized.
Grate Gruyere and Parmesan.
Whisk together the lightly beaten eggs with cream, nutmeg, salt, and pepper.
In the pie dough spread a layer of Gruyere, then add the bacon, Parmesan and more Gruyere, add the onions and then top with any remaining Gruyere.
Strain the egg mixture through a fine mesh sieve over the pie.
Bake for 30 minutes. Check doneness and bake until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean. Likely, 10 more minutes.
Let the quiche rest for at least 10 minutes.
Herb Salad
Rough chop herbs, mince the shallot, and place in a bowl.
Drizzle olive oil and mix.
Add pinches of Kosher salt and pepper.

Sometimes style takes a back seat to life. Lately

Sometimes style takes a back seat to life.

Lately, I’ve been feeling the weight of it all—running a business, navigating family dynamics, showing up daily. And quietly, beneath it all, missing my husband. He was my steady, my sounding board, my soft place to land.
Grief has a way of surprising you even after six years.
It’s not linear. It doesn’t keep a calendar.
It shows up in the middle of a regular Tuesday, wrapped in a memory, a song, a smell, a moment when you wish you could reach for the shoulder that’s no longer there.

Grief and burnout have a way of creeping in when we least expect them. And I know I’m not the only one carrying more than what’s visible.
So this isn’t a style tip or an outfit post—just a gentle reminder:
✨ You don’t have to be strong all the time.
✨ You’re allowed to step back.
✨ You’re not alone in the hard seasons.

What helps me? Quiet mornings. Prayer. Saying no more often. Letting go of perfect. And staying close to the people—and purpose—that light me back up. Leaning into joy where I find it.
