good morning, good morning, good morning! can you believe this is the last sunday in april? spring is in full swing. before we head straight into summer, let’s take a look at the spring blog posts that resonated with you. since march was a blur thanks to my visits to HSN. i need to double-up this month and share your favorite posts from march and april.
many of you have written asking when i will be back on HSN talking about Lemon Way. although i loved my on-air time and guest appearances as a style expert. hopping on a plane twice a month to tampa along with 2 a.m. appearances really took a toll on my schedule. twenty-four hour television seven days a week is a crazy lifestyle. one i decided wasn’t suited for me. let me tell you the blog keeps me hopping all on its own! but it was a fantastic experience to appear on HSN and one that i will treasure.
are you ready for the top ten spring favorites? let’s dig in.
my love for timeless classics is the cornerstone of the blog. timeless classics serve a purpose. first, they are fashionable. second, classics go beyond trends. third, their cost-per-wear can turn them into investment pieces. one such timeless classic that makes my top ten list time-after-time is the mighty shirtdress. similar dress here, here, and here.
there’s been more than one business trip in the past month! good golly but i’m getting the hang of airport travel style. and i’m able to pack my bags in about ten minutes or less. yes, with my frequent trips to st. petersburg, florida to visit HSN my travel game was on. read all about airport travel style and what’s in my carry on.
this post dissected why i’m loyal and shop certain brands year after year. since i love the classics Ralph Lauren, J.Crew, Ann Taylor, Tory Burch, St. John Knits, Theory, or Talbots are all on style repeat. to find out why read how to wear a knit blazer.
at the beginning of 2019 i started the classic style series on instagram. each week i choose a style icon past or present and replicate their outfit. this series is loads of fun to research and execute. jackie kennedy, princess diana and amal clooney have made appearances. read more about the classic style series | chinos, pumps, and blazer.
fridays with oscar continues to be a favorite post. it happens to be mine too. there’s nothing better than sharing a recipe and cocktail with you week after week. greek chicken sheet pan dinner was a hit. it’s easy to make and can feed a crowd. plus, you get to see oscar. even ollie pops up now and then.

this post is tied into my classic series on instagram. while doing research it dawned on me that even the most fashionable style icons have a style uniform! say what? yes, style icons understand that a style uniform keeps their wardrobe balanced, giving them the perfect mix between modern and classic fashion. my go-to style uniform is the 4b’s blazer, button-down, blue jeans, and ballet flats. but there are tweaks here and there. don’t forget to read my favorite way to wear jeans. the second popular post in april.
