it’s the last day of the first month of the year. time is marching on. before we head into february and start thinking about the next holiday (think red and pink, ladies) let’s look back at your favorite january blog posts.
the month (and year) started with a bang with a Talbots collaboration how to wear a yellow raincoat. while january is anything but warm this is the month we start to think about spring. if you’re looking for the perfect yellow slicker this might be the one. not only does this raincoat have a hood it’s lined with stripes!
the second favorite blog post was winter favorites with Ann Taylor. i can see why! who doesn’t love a tweed jacket, blue and gray coatigan, striped sweater and a silk scarf? these items are among my all-time classic favorites – and yours too.
what i wore to book club came in third place for january favorites. there’s nothing fancy about this outfit. just hard-working basics that make up the core of my wardrobe i reach for again and again. add a dose of leopard and this ootd has a little oomph. if you’re interested in joining our online book club or you’re curious as to our february book selection here’s a link that provides more info.
coming in fourth place is how to wear pearls. it seems as if my favorite gemstone is on trend for 2019 but we all know pearls never go out of style. and i mean never. it’s fun to layer strands of pearls a la coco chanel. but a single strand is elegant. and pearl earrings go with everything, including sweatshirts. just sayin’.
rounding out the top five january favorites is a recap of my fitness plan with Faster Way to Fat Loss. this six-week online program empowers you to transform your life through simple, effective, cutting-edge fitness and nutrition strategies. read the full post. many of you joined the january session of Faster Way to Fat Loss. drop me a note and let me know how it’s going. currently, i am a VIP member with FWTFL which keeps my fitness journey on track. the goal for 2019 is to lose ten more pounds and tweak my workout routine that now includes pilates and peloton. but you can’t out-exercise poor nutrition. the two go hand in hand. don’t fall into the trap of thinking that because you hit fifty, sixty, seventy or eighty that excludes you from getting into or staying in shape. age has nothing to do with fitness except for the fact we lose muscle at an alarming rate. use it or lose. so let’s use this body to the best of our ability.
now for the top ten items that were january favorites.
thanks for reading, ladies! see you next month.
