this weekend is Father’s Day. can you believe we are halfway through 2018?! mr. style and i are headed to the beach this weekend to celebrate his big day, but we still managed to squeeze in a barbeque before we left. i love this time of year when the kitchen moves outside and so does our dining experience. the chicken is spatchcocked (a fancy name for splitting then flattening the bird) for a faster and easier grill time. it’s marinated in rosemary, olive oil, and lemon. it’s all yours, mr. style. i like my skin crispy, not charred…
mr. style has a sweet tooth so i whipped up a gluten-free Raspberry Chocolate Truffle. it’s a great way to incorporate fresh raspberries that are in abundance this time of year. this is a very easy recipe that takes about ten minutes to make.

Happy Father’s Day to Mr Style.
The chicken sounds great–lemon and rosemary are so classic together. And I’ll have to try the tart sometime–I’m gluten free and for the most part grain-free these days, but once in a blue moon, I treat myself with a dessert. This would be along my lines.
Cute dress–the critters will enjoy watching the festivities. Have a blast at the beach!
we so enjoyed St. Simon’s Island. plan a visit if you haven’t been there. what a delightful beach town that’s so laid-back.
