Emerald Green May’s fabulous Birthstone and I continue for the lusty Month of May with this Saturday’s Guest Post by MMK!!
I cannot seem to let them go!! Emerald, Lime, Gardens, and all!! So uplifting! So happy! So inspirational!! We all need it more than ever these days… So, I have decided to share more loves of Emerald Green May Birthstone Greens for you, your home, your spirit, and for gifting – maybe for a special Birthday or showers for the Bride-to-Be!!
Part of my “not letting go” stems from my great Emerald love – it’s been for a lifetime!! FYI – My engagement ring was a pear shape Emerald…a second, the beloved classic emerald cut diamond. This famed, oldest of diamond cuts also graced the fingers of Elizabeth Taylor and Grace Kelly. Then, on a special trip to Venice at Birthday time – September, a Buccellati ring had my name on it!! Although I had my heart set on my Birthstone Sapphire, the oval simply did not sing to me like the Emerald with emerald cut!! See?? It is my prized possession to this day!
Interior Green Inspiration:
May’s charming Lily of the Valley White with luscious Greens is a classic color scheme!! I actually painted my very first apartment bedroom with brilliant white walls and Emerald Green molding accent trim…the address was even on Garden Street in Cambridge, Mass!! I was inspired by a photo of Washington’s magnificent Hostess Deeda Blair’s very sumptuous Green and White dining room. Her home and gowns were sooo beautiful; I was totally mesmerized!!
I devoured WWD fashion and interior design magazines… This enchanting home is now included in the very chic interiors book Around That Time: Horst at Home in Vogue Gardens have inspired the Language of Flowers since Victorian times to today…famed Interior Designer Charlotte Moss, Design and Decoupage Designer John Derian, MacKenzie-Childs…on and on!!

The “Noses” of France and beyond have created classics, fun blooms, and green inspired perfumes, lotions,
skincare, and soaps, as well! Enjoy a few with me!!

San Francisco interior designers inspired Agraria’s first scent, Orange Bitters. It remains well-loved today with charming, fragrant tassels, diffusers, and gift-wrapped soaps in many luscious garden scents, including Lemon Verbena and, of course, classic Orange Bitters too!
