🥃 Peach Bourbon Smash
This time of year, peaches are at their peak, and I’m always looking for ways to weave their flavor into everything—cocktails included. This Peach Bourbon Smash is a current favorite: it’s bold from the bourbon, refreshing from the mint and lemon, and just a touch sweet. Whether you’re hosting friends or relaxing solo, this is one of those drinks that feels like a little celebration.

- 4 oz bourbon
- 1 oz fresh lemon juice about half a lemon

When the summer heat calls for something light but still indulgent, I love a recipe that’s just as pretty as it is tasty. These Peach & Prosciutto Skewers hit all the right notes—sweet, salty, creamy, and fresh. They’re perfect for entertaining or enjoying as a simple lunch on the porch. Best of all, they require zero cooking and come together in minutes.

- Small wooden skewers or toothpicks
Instructions:
- On each skewer, alternate a peach slice, a folded piece of prosciutto, a mozzarella ball, and a basil leaf.
- Repeat until all ingredients are used.
- Just before serving, drizzle with balsamic glaze.

Frequently Asked Questions
Recipe Questions Answered
Q. Can I make the Peach & Prosciutto Skewers ahead of time?
A. Yes, you can assemble the skewers a few hours in advance. Just store them in the fridge and wait to drizzle with balsamic glaze until just before serving to keep everything fresh.
Q. What’s a good substitute for bourbon in the Peach Bourbon Smash?
A. For a mocktail version, substitute the bourbon with peach juice, iced tea, or even sparkling water. You’ll still get all that summery flavor, without the alcohol.
Q. What type of peaches work best for these recipes?
A. Look for ripe but firm peaches that hold their shape when sliced. Yellow peaches tend to have a balanced sweet-tart flavor that works beautifully in both savory and cocktail pairings.
