fridays with oscar

it’s labor day weekend, and we’re herding oscar into the car and heading to atlanta. one reason i love athens so much is that a major metropolis is only a short distance away. then i only have to deal with traffic jams when i pay a visit. one of our kiddos lives in atlanta, so it’s nice to bop down from time-to-time and see what he’s up to. oscar started off life hating car rides. maybe because he always got carsick… but he’s more or less outgrown that phase, so he’s ready to buckle up for our weekend getaway. black and white are always right and a great color scheme no matter if it’s spring, summer, fall or winter. as we inch closer and closer to fall classic color combos will help ease us into the season. there are scores of labor day sales going on this weekend if you’re in the mood for shopping. take your pick. but my big news is that i’m finally headed into the salon to get the mop back into shape. i pushed my haircut back as long as i could to get some length back. and i think i accomplished my mission. the last few weeks were challenging as my cut lost its shape and was taking forever to dry. this is one thick head of hair i have. but lyric (my stylist) will have me looking good again in no time. safe travels wherever your destination lies.
