trench coats transition perfectly between winter and spring. but let’s not forget summer and fall. it’s always a good idea to have a solid color on hand, but it doesn’t hurt to add a print to jazz things up.
dark skinny jeans can be dressed up or down. i love throwing on a pair of pointy-toed heels when i’m headed out and about when the clock strikes five. but let’s not forget they pair perfectly with a blazer and booties for a laid-back, but polished look.
denim jackets are perfect any time of year. but come fall they help chase the chill away. and they look great popped over a dress or jeans. can you say versatile?
silk scarves can be pricey, but this luxurious accessory can jazz up an outfit in no time. pop one over a moto-jacket for a casual chic look. but don’t forget they can pull double-duty as a belt. in my twenties i had my gucci scarf framed. it hung over my bed for several years before i tired of it as wall art. then, it was ever-so-simple to bring it back into the closet rotation.
this black faux leather moto jacket has seen lots of action through the years. it looks fab paired with a string of pearls but is tough enough to fly solo over skinny jeans.
now and then, some of my readers ask what items i consider as my wardrobe staples. in other words, which favorites are reached for again-and-again? well, we all know i wear blazers year round. but there are several other closet essentials i keep on fashion repeat. even though we’re slowing transitioning our wardrobes from summer to fall, today, i’m sharing five closet essentials that can be worn any time of year, depending on the temps. if you’re like me, you’ll love having a few wardrobe favorites that will help make your morning routine just that much easier.
