today, it’s short and sweet, ‘cuz it’s labor day weekend. and i hope you are enjoying the three-day respite. it’s cooled down here in georgia. so i took the opportunity to throw on a cardi over my shorts. even if this holiday doesn’t require red, white, and blue apparel, i took the liberty of wearing this color combo anyway. and today’s ootd comes straight out of Prep 101 as all the bases are covered. shorts – check, gingham shirt – check, pearls – check. but you will see a little pattern mix with the addition of striped shoes. although any patterned flats would work. so there you have it, ladies! a quick and easy outfit that’s perfect for a casual day.
labels: shorts British Khaki (limited sizes – similar here and here); shirt Gap (similar here and here); cardigan Ralph Lauren (similar here and here); shoes Merona @Target (similar here and here)

Happy Labor Day! Love the red, white and blue with mixed patterns.
And ok, I admit it: I’m starting to get psyched about fall temps–now that Labor Day is here, I’m ready to start with fall transition pieces. Your OOTD is a nice goodbye to summer…
Very cute! You make me feel like a Labor Day slob. hahaha We stayed home. Just us. I trimmed trees and he did a bit of work on the rental house. I did grill out but my outfit was less than desireable. LOL
I love the next to last picture, you have such a cute expression.
