Happy Monday, ladies! I hope you had a wonderful weekend and are rested as we head into a new week. I spent the whole weekend working in the yard—boy am I pooped! Using muscles I forgot existed. But I love this time of year, I really do. It’s such a joy to open the porch back up and sit outside during the evenings. Today, I’ve got the loveliest 2022 tiered midi dress from Neiman’s. And in a lot of ways, it builds on yesterday’s post, 4 Perfect Spring Color Combinations. You’ll see why.
I’m loving olive green this year. Today’s outfit is a matchy-matchy pairing between an olive green linen shirt and a tiered green midi skirt —both available at Neiman Marcus. I really been treating olive green as a neutral this Spring, as it takes to a color pop so well. (Hello, pink.).
Olive Green Linen Shirt (Neiman Marcus) | Tiered Green Midi Skirt (Neiman Marcus) | White tee | Suede sandals (Stuart Weitzman, old, similar here and here) | Tan handbag (Brahmin) | Station necklace (Tory Burch, old, similar here and here) Bracelets from Nest
I went with a pair of suede sandals from Stuart Weitzman (old, similar here and here). But I could easily see swapping out the sandals for a pair of slides, mules, or loafers.

The station necklace is from Tory Burch (old, similar here and here). Loving her this year as my email subscribers well know. And how cute is this tan handbag? Tan and olive green go together like peas and carrots. (Old carrots, I guess? Maybe a bad analogy.)

For those of you that read 4 Perfect Color Combinations for Spring, know that drab/olive green & pink was my first pairing. I decided to rework 2 of those outfits with today’s midi skirt to show you its flexibility. Here’s what I came up with.
Twill jacket | V-Neck Tee | Tiered Green Midi Skirt (Neiman Marcus) | Suede platform espadrilles | Rattan crossbody bag
Casual linen blazer | Tiered Green Midi Skirt (Neiman Marcus) | Linen band collar popover | Suede espadrilles | Rattan crossbody bag

I love pink! I like pink and olive together almost as much as I like pink with blue/navy. I am excited to see what Kelly shows tomorrow.
Good morning!
I really love this pretty look. The olive green is perfect. . If it was pastel it’d be too “Little House on the Prairie”
I think you put this together perfectly.
Aw…wonderful Spring!
Even though I do not like the colors of the out fit, you look very polished and ready for anything !!!
I really like this look on you. You are tall and can wear the longer fuller skirts well. I really like your blog.
I like most of your outfits while realizing that I as a 5′ petite can’t pull some of these off but other than really liking the colors this outfit, in my opinion, is not flattering. It adds 10 to 15 lbs to your appearance. Maybe it’s because you aren’t following your formula of top should fit close is bottom is more voluminous and vice a versa.
isn’t if funn? my photographer thought this outfit was slimming. beauty truly is in the eye of the beholder. but as far as the style formula: it’s in play. it’s spring so the temps are chilly. instead of a jacket for my third layer, i chose the oversized linen blouse that Ralph Lauren pairs with the midi skirt. notice the tee is a slim fit. then notice how the blouse is tied over the tee cinching in the waist giving it form and function over the tiered skirt.
I like this outfit on you and I think it is slimming. The olive green is a nice shade for the tiered skirt and can certainly be worn spring through fall.
