we’re starting a new month with a final look at my tip to Florida. last week i showed you how i wore it in Miami (and here too) before we head into spring—a time of transition and rejuvenation—i wanted to share with you how i wore it in Key West. if it’s still chilly or rainy where you are, i hope these pictures will warm you up just a bit as we wait for the coming of the spring months.
in case you missed what i packed for Florida, i’ve reposted my the relevant flat lays for today’s OOTD below.
junior style and i spent the last half of our Florida trip in Key West. it was a-m-a-z-i-n-g: totally what i needed. i almost hate to admit it, but i spent most of this part of the trip bumming by the pool. actually, i don’t hate admitting that at all. i was looking forward to this part of the trip to catch my breath and rejuvenate.

we stayed on Islamorda at Cheeca Lodge. if you’re looking to get to the Keys and a place to stay, i highly recommend it. obviously beautiful and amazingly relaxing. we ate at Lorelei Restaurant & Cabana Bar—inexpensive waterfront dinner with delicious food. highly recommended.

we’ve got an exiting March for you over here on the blog. this month is all about “transition” and “rejuvenation”. we’ll be taking you behind the scenes as i refresh my house—porches included. some of you have been asking about my daughter-in-law Kelly. she’s still, here, working at the blog. and she’s got some exciting news to share in the upcoming weeks. so stay tuned!

Hi Beth!
I’d love to know what lip color you’re wearing in these photos. Very flattering on you!
the lipstick is from Nikol Cosmetics – Secret Weapon. https://www.freshbeautystudio.com/
Loved the Key west outfit. Please go back to describing your outfits. Thanks
some days we focus on the outfit. and other days, like a vacation day, we focus on different topics.
Funny thing, I was in Islamorada, I think just ahead of you, and recognized the palm trees at Checca Lodge right away. I also spent my time lounging by the pool during the day and going out to eat at night. We stayed in Islamorada for 4 days then 3 in Key West.
it was a very relaxing stay!
We have similar coloring- the blue eyes, gray/white hair, and fair skin. I think white and yellow or green completely washes me out, but you always manage to avoid looking this way! I tend to pick the blues, dark pinks, black…Beautiful pictures.
thanks so much, mary lou! but give color any color a chance. we’ve been so ingrained to avoid this or that. like Nike says, “just do it.”
Hi Beth….these photos are amazing in color! Cannot wait for spring to get here.
Have a question; Are you letting your hair grow out?
Best,
i am growing it out. about every five years or so i grow it out into a short bob.
Sounds idyllic! I’m glad you got a chance to recoup. And it looks as if you had gorgeous weather. The outfit combinations are colorful and fun.
nothing can beat a day at the beach or pool. those blue skies and sunshine were just what i needed.
Love your ootd!
Green-white-yellow. Always a winning combo!
such a happy color combo!
I love your sense of color. The outfit is beautiful the weather also. Maybe I could visit Florida someday…..it’s a dream….someday! I wish you a happy week.
