are you ready to ease into spring with a few key pieces? yes, old man winter is soon to be replaced by all things spring. but dang if he doesn’t want to linger. it’s been cold and dreary in Athens the past few days, which has me missing those blue skies and sunshine Florida is famous for. but when the going gets tough weather-wise, the tough pull on some special duds with a little bling for good measure and snake print shoes.
while this outfit is perfect for a fall or winter day, the navy blue cashmere cardigan can easily transition into spring paired with lighter and brighter colors. and these snake print wedges are meant to be worn all year round. for those of us who can’t wear heels anymore, think wedges that give a little height but are oh so comfortable to wear. this pair is from Easy Spirit, so don’t forget to use code BETH25 when you check out to receive 25% off your purchase. many of you might remember that i was their fall ambassador, and i’m pleased as punch to represent Easy Spirt this spring. stay tuned to a post next week where i’ll share an a-ma-zing giveaway!

don’t forget handbags are a great accessory that can span the seasons like this luxe pebbled leather tote from Everlane. the neutral color makes it perfect to pair with so many outfits. it’s called the Boss Bag for good reason ‘cuz this handbag will easily stow a 15″ laptop along with keys, phone, and makeup. better yet, the Boss Bag is on sale and comes in three colors – sandstone, burgundy, and black.
these snake print wedges will put a spring to your step thanks to a flexible and durable outsole. and they’re so lightweight. dress them up with a dress or skirt or dress them down with chinos or denim. one thing’s for certain, these shoes will go from the workweek to the weekend with ease.
who can resist adding bling to your outfit? jewelry is a great way to express your personality without saying a word. just like handbags whether jewelry is fine or costume it’s an investment that will last a lifetime which is why i’ll splurge from time-to-time. today, i’m wearing a gold bangle (old, similar here and here) belt with a gold buckle and pendant necklace (old, similar here and here).

Sorry Beth but your outfits are wayyy too expensive. Wish you would show more of what the average girl could wear. and please don’t do Walmart I’m talking Talbots, ann taylor black house white market, llbean for examples
good golly, miss molly! maybe you missed a few posts. just partnered with Ann Taylor last week. Talbots too. but i’m not a big fan of WHBM. how about JCrew? lots and lots of pricepoints to choose from like Walmart, JCPenney, Everlane, Ralph Lauren, Vince. and Max Mara. love to mix high and low. and i always will.
Nice transitional pieces and they look comfortable, too. Spring is definitely starting its thing here in NC–lots of budding goin’ on!
looking forward to longer days! cheers to Spring.
Would you do a post about attire for wedding guests for spring and summer? I have a sat night wedding in New Orleans this April and had planned to wear a black dress. I have been told not to wear black to a southern wedding. Is that true?
i am a southern transplant so a die-hard southern belle may disagree. but wearing black to a wedding is perfectly acceptable these days.
I love reading your e-mails….very inspirational! I’m an 81 year old senior and cannot afford to buy expensive clothes. Can your recommend lower priced clothing items?
I LOVE the sweater. Hopefully someone will make one that is similar.
I LOVE the sweater. I would love to see it at a more reasonable price. It’s so beautiful I’m sure it will be copied.
