as we speak, i’ve started packing and getting ready to head to the Miami airport. by this evening, i’ll be back home in Athens, GA. i’ve had a wonderful time here in Florida with junior style. sad to go, but happy to return home to oscar and ollie. we’re off to a great start this week on the blog, and we’re we’re showing no signs of slowing. i’ve got some more shots of how i wore it in Miami, Florida; specifically shots of my day trip to Vizcaya Museum.
how i wore it in Miami, Florida
in case you’re just joining us, its travel week over here one the blog. we kicked things off on Sunday with a Florida outfit retrospective. yesterday, i posted my first collection of outfits i wore in Miami. and today, i’m featuring the outfit i wore for some day touring.
it’s all about shorts for me today. shorts are a controversial topic for women of a “certain age”, but as you can see, i don’t shy away from them. i’m wearing a pair of chino shorts from J.Crew, but if shorts aren’t your thing, swap them for a pair of chinos proper.
if you’ve noticed, i’ve been all about the scarves this year. today is no different. again, i’m featuring a one from J.Crew, accessorizing my tote with it. and that’s what i love about scarves: they’re just so darn versatile. (check out last week’s post where i styled one as a belt.)
(an editorial note: how fun is this shot? junior style is getting so good!)
junior style and i spent a day touring Vizcaya Museum. if you’re visiting or live the Miami area and haven’t been, i highly recommend it. you can read the wikipedia entry about it here, but in short it was the villa of executive and socialite James Deering of the Deering Harvester company.
taking it easy
what a blast junior style and i’ve had this week in Florida. i feel totally blessed to be able to get to take trips like this with my family and share them with you my readers. i hope you enjoyed another installment of how i wore it in Miami, Florida and stay tuned for pictures of our few days in Key West.
