In my move from NY to CA there were just a few things to make the cut. Going from a house to a condo forced me to be selective. I brought my Lenox Country Holly dishes. In 1977 my mother started buying me nutcrackers; not expensive ones, mainly ones that caught her eye. Some classic, some whimsical; small, tall & in between. My mother in law made us a ceramic nativity set & father in law made the crèche. It’s on the larger size but we always find a place for it to remind us the reason for the season. I’ll buy new linens to freshen up the table & probably add a few things for the grandchildren. Love your table! No coats for me in the beautiful California desert!

Hi Beth, your tablescapes look lovely. We live around 3 miles from where the Spode factory used to be, Wedgwood and Royal Doulton were very close to us as well. Sadly the factories are no longer there, apparently they found it was cheaper to out source abroad, places like Thailand. Stoke on Trent or The Potteries as we are known as were well known for its China and Dinner service sets. As you can imagine we have a couple of Dinner Services that we have inherited then from family so we treasure them xoxo Julie from England

I’ve also been looking at the J Crew site–they have some wonderful things this year. I love the navy and grey in the sweater and picked up in the shoes hue. Very pretty. You remind me of myself with all the holiday table options–my mom always set a beautiful table, and if there’s one thing I’ve amassed over time it’s lots of pretty dishes/linens, etc. I have a Williams Sonoma set of “12 Days of Christmas” dishes that I bought a number of years ago after the holidays in a great sale, that people always ask about–I get them out every year. I love them. They’re definitely part of our tradition. You look very festive in this outfit.

I love the fabric in your dining room chairs…do you know who the manufacturer is and also the name of blue paint on the wall. My taste is very similar to yours.
I enjoy your post and YouTube.
    Thank you

I love how you have made Spode Christmas Tree look fresh and modern! I have been collecting it for more than 20 years! My mother would by me a few pieces each year since before I was married, and I add a few items to my collection each year. It’s my favorite decoration! Thanks for sharing your great ideas!
