brunch blues

nothing like sunday morning, especially if brunch is included. so we packed up our kit bag and moseyed on over for a feast of eggs, and bacon, and grits, and the choices go on and on. sweater weather paid a visit this past weekend, so it was time to pull out a beloved navy knit blazer piped in pink similar here. what better time to trot out a new pair of pants from boden? thanks to a suggestion by a lovely reader i decided it was high time to sport an item or two from this iconic british brand that’s available right here in the U.S. of A.

what’s not to love about a pair of pants that puts a spring in your step thanks to an explosion of color? my favorite kind of color as pops of pink are interfused with navy and red. pink suede shoes seemed like the perfect partner, and i almost pulled out a pink vee neck sweater to complete the look but decided i’ll save that for the next time i wear these pants. ‘cuz there will be a next time.

my crisp white shirt from Talbots is back in action today as is a statement necklace from the O Magazine collection similar here. but enough of my ootd because yesterday was just the kind of day you had to stop and smell the roses. with the weather this glorious, you have to pay attention and say thank you, mother nature for the beauty you bestow to us.

and it’s on to monday, gang! can you believe it’s october?! we’re in the home stretch of 2017. didn’t i tell you there’s only 85 days until christmas?
