Kicking off this week with a glimpse of the American Queen and the Mississippi River Boat Cruise. Every cruise has daytime and evening excursions and activities. Nighttime is all about dinner then a show. Several evenings Kelly and I dined alone. Other evenings, we joined the incredible staff members from the American Queen headquarters that were also on the President’s Cruise. So today, I wanted to give you a look at what I wore to dinner on my river cruise.

Of course, these days a casual dress code is in place for most occasions which means comfortable yet polished. However, I’m a big believer in always putting your best foot forward especially when it comes to dining out.

This time of year light colors and bold patterns are a welcome addition to my closet. It’s time to start transitioning from winter to spring. Leopard is always a safe bet when it comes to adding pattern to your outfit. But a snakeskin print is a nice departure from your run of the mill leopard print. Add a linen jacket and apir of pumps
