Happy Friday, gang! I don’t know what the weather is like in your neck of the woods but it’s been a cold and rainy winter here in Georgia. The sun peeked out for a bit yesterday afternoon, and boy, did we need that ray of sunshine. The sun puts me in a great mood, so much so that I had to pull out the cutest Après Ski sweater for the weekend!
It’s been bleak, but when the going gets tough, the tough throw on a colorful outfit fit for Après ski time. Okay, it’s just Fridays with Oscar, but a girl can pretend! I’d love nothing better than to be lounging in a ski lodge with hot chocolate spiked with peppermint schnapps. Alas, I’ll make do with a Moscow Mule. But my best buddy is by my side once again ready for his photo op. So let’s get this party started!

Y’all know I’m a big fan of Ralph Lauren. I had stars in my eyes when I spotted this wool neck funnel sweater with a lively pattern months ago and finally decided it was worth the splurge. (Don't worry, I've sourced some similars at a lower price point.)
Of course, my favorite retailer, Nordstrom, carries a selection of Ralph Lauren and many other brands like Ugg and Barbour. How cute are these waterproof red boots that are perfect for a slushy, snowy day?! They come in three colors, but I always say a woman should own one pair of red shoes. The same goes for red boots. And they’re lined with a plush UGGpure™ insole lining—a textile made entirely from wool but crafted to look and feel like genuine shearling. Sooooo comfy!

1 1/2 ounces vodka
1/6 ounce lime juice
4 ounces Ginger Beer
Combine vodka and ginger beer in a copper mug or highball glass filled with ice.
Add lime juice.
Stir gently and garnish with a lime slice.
1 pound 93% lean ground turkey
3/4 teaspoon kosher salt
1/4 cup chopped onion
1 clove garlic, minced
1 25.25 ounce jar marinara sauce
8 ounces spaghetti, wheat or gluten-free, broken half
freshly grated Parmesan cheese for serving.
Press the saute button on an Instant Pot.
When hot, add the ground turkey and salt and brown the meat, using a wooden spoon to break it into small pieces as it cooks about 3 minutes.
Add the onion and garlic and cook until softened, 3 to 4 minutes.
Add the marinara sauce, 2 cups water, and the spaghetti, making sure the liquid covers everything. Do not stir, as space will be tight.
Seal and cook on high pressure for 9 minutes, until the pasta and sauce are cooked.
Quick release, then open when the pressure subsides.
Serve right away, topped with Parmesan, if desired.

Hi Beth, Oscar and Ollie. Keep warm. I am allergic to wool which is a good thing. Love Ralph Lauren but cannot justify a 400.00 sweater anyway. Even the cheaper sweaters are all sold out in most sizes and they are wool too. Oh well, not to be, Looks great on you!
