once the whistle blows five o’clock friday afternoon, it’s time to say goodbye to our nine-to-five work duds and slip into something more comfortable. while sweatpants are oh so tempting with forgiving elastic waistbands and a relaxed shape sometimes, the art of ease requires a chicer vibe. denim anyone? it’s cool, it’s comfortable, and man-oh-man is it versatile.
today, i’ve rounded up a few of my favorite weekend denim outfits for a little extra inspiration. coffee date? football game? or sunday brunch? well, ladies, i’ve got you covered. and for a little extra inspiration, i’ve added a few updates to my denim round-up.

I love my denim. So many ways to wear it, and comfy, too. Thank you!
these days, you can never go wrong with a great pair of denim!

Grey & beige, who would have thought? So sophisticated.
that is a favorite color combo of mine borrowed straight from the boys!

Some really fun weekend outfits, as always, beautifully accessorized. My favorite is the one with the long (dark pink or red) coat and dotted scarf. Enjoy the rest of the weekend!
that’s a favorite coat of mine with the portrait collar and zip in lining! if you can believe it, it’s a raincoat so perfect to throw on instead of a trench. hope you enjoyed your weekend, rebecca.

To say I, “PINNED AWAY!” is an understatement. YOU just gave me a bigger shopping list for my new wardrobe!!! As always love your style especially when it is preppy!!
I’m having a hard time finding jeans that are comfortable for my 65-year-old body, so I’ve essentially stopped wearing them. Thanks for the ideas to try!
i think every woman goes through the frustration of finding that perfect pair of blue jeans. sometimes, you just have to try a gazillion pairs before you find THE one. but i’m fairly certain there’s a pair of blue jeans made just for you.

I’m on the hunt! đ
You look great in them all.
I’m with you–I love jeans, and I’m actually fortunate that I can even often wear jeans to work, but I always wear nice jackets or interesting vests or tops with them, and nice shoes and jewelry, scarves, accessories… so they look polished. But so comfy and I have a number of different styles so they’re not what we wore years ago–we’ve come a long way, Levi’s! đ
you are one lucky girl, sue, to wear jeans to work! and there are so many styles to choose from these days. with the addition of spandex blue jeans are as comfortable as they are cool. thank goodness!
