when the temperature rises it’s time to shed the layers and stay cool. having lived in a tropical climate for the better part of ten years i’m an expert when it comes to beating the heat. skirts are a must as well as sleeveless tops. cotton tees, shorts, and yes, even laid back chinos can keep you looking stylish when the thermometer creeps past eighty. i love the color scheme of my outfit today. mustard and khaki paired with a metallic sandal. a bold necklace and bracelets complete the ootd, and i’m ready to catch a baseball game or lunch alfresco.

Great look as always. Tell us about those earrings.
hi sandra! hope you’re feeling better. i just get a kick out of your comments as you always notice the details. keeps me on my toes! these earrings are over twenty years old as i purchased them when living in houston, tx. simple wire earrings from an anne klein collection. i used to have a matching necklace that i can’t seem to locate since downsizing our lives.
hi maria,
these sandals are actually very comfortable. wedge shoes typically are. if i were on my feet all day this wouldn’t be the pair i picked to wear, but for just a normal evening out they are great.
