off and running early on this monday morning. but what a fun day i had yesterday with andrew. there was brunch, loads of nfl football watching on t.v., and to cap it all off – a lovely dinner at chez andrew. we’re catching the early morning train into manhattan then i’ll mosey on over to chelsea to catch the nolcha shows where independent fashion designers showcase their collections. but not before a strong cup of coffee. today’s ootd is all about ease with a denim sheath dress that has pockets. hooray! whatever the reason, if i stumble upon a dress that sports pockets i get all starry eyed and there’s a 90% chance it will find a permanent spot in my closet. so denim and pockets?! there’s faux leather trim around the neckline which you will find repeated with my belt and suede booties. most likely, the venue for today’s fashion show will be have the air conditioner cranked up. if so, i’m ready to stay warm with the addition of a faux suede jacketor or, if i step outside and the temps are a bit too warm the jacket comes off and the dress flies solo. don’t you just love options?

LOVE this outfit!!!!
thank you, neighbor! can you believe the temps might just dip into the 80’s? it almost feels chilly…

A denim dress with pockets WOULD also make it into my closet and would be in constant use.
Great look .
what is it about pockets, lorena? whatever it is, i’m a sucker for them.
xoxo
Love this denim dress, the dark denim, the way you styled it with the gorgeous shade of brown look so fall-ready, and I am in love with those booties!

hi jess!
how are you, sweet friend? are you ready for fall? here in georgia it dipped into the 80’s and it felt chilly. should i break out the sweaters?!
hope all is well in your world. say hello to those two cuties of yours.
xoxo
I love the brown leather trim at the neckline–excellent! I have a nice denim sheath, with a pretty tie that just crosses in the the front–I think I got it at Anthropologie some years ago–always get compliments on it, but alas–it lacks pockets!!!
Your day with your son sounds wonderful–have a great day at NYFW!
awww, sue! you are always so dang sweet. but i think we both agree that my denim dress just might be a wee bit better than yours. it’s the pockets!
aren’t we lucky to have our children in our lives? and to watch them grow into fine young men. what a blessing!

I would love to own that belt and bag. Goes wonderfully with the dress and the leather band around the neckline. Everything looks like it was made for the other…So well put together…..Another winner…
thanks, bonnie! i always have one eye out for belts. whenever i find one that’s just a little extra special it somehow finds it way into my shopping bag…
xoxo
Adore the dress, Beth!
