every summer my beloved blue jeans go on hiatus. there are so many options to stay chic in the heat besides denim. skirts and dresses take center stage, and we all know linen pants and shorts are easy, breezy and comfortable. but once fall fashion rolls into town it’s time to think about blue jeans again and scoring that perfect pair with the perfect fit. for some of us, this task seems like searching for the holy grail – an impossible feat which is why i’m pleased to partner with Jag Jeans who knows a thing or two about blue jeans.
meet Carter a blue jean with a girlfriend fit – relaxed but not loose. it has great stretch for comfort but also great retention to avoid any stretching or losing its shape. what i love the most about Carter is that the inseam is versatile since it’s shipped cuffed but can be unrolled for more length. that’s like having two pairs of jeans rolled into one. take a peek at Carter trimmed with a velvet cuff stitched with tiny sequin flourishes perfect for a casual fall day when paired with a french terry sweatshirt and sandals. if i want to hide the embellishment for a more refined evening look, i simply roll the jeans down exchange my sweatshirt for a silk blouse similar here and slip into a pair of slingbacks. but wait, Carter comes in a variety sizes, petite, missy and plus. there’s a range of washes, and different colors too. like white, beach glass, and my favorite pale pink.

These appear to be a mid-rise jean. I love the jean but I have problems with mid-rise. They are just not comfortable on me. I spend a lot of time yanking them up. I will have to go to the web site to see if they have other rises. You look fabulous in them! I do love this sort of outfit because it fits in perfectly with my life style. I did checkout the sandals and they don’t have my size in that gorgeous color.
