as we ease into fall the color palette slowly shifts from bright to muted. i’m always a little sad to see summer fade and with it the bursts of vibrant colors. but there’s something warm and inviting about the season to come. soon the farmers markets will be loaded with a bevy of apples, pumpkins and yellow mums. apple cider stocked with cinnamon sticks will soon be simmering on our stoves along with a range of college football games to tune into on a saturday afternoon. oh, the simple delights of autumn. so for today’s ootd i chose a neutral color scheme that’s ready to dive into fall. pleated olive skirt, heathered grey sweater with a jewel neckline. a neutral jacket and handbag keep this outfit looking polished and office ready. so what do you think? are you ready for fall?

I love your style, and generally never comment. But, I LOVE this jacket! Is this in the current season?
hi elizabeth,
thanks for taking the time to comment! as for the jacket, this is from cabi’s spring 2015 collection. you might still be able to source one. i do have links in the post, and you can contact the cabi rep to help.

Another great outfit – everything goes so well together, and I love the little pop of red!
I’m soooo ready for fall (and fall clothes!); the forecast for the South Bay is in the 100s through Friday… Too hot for me!
