for those of you following me for any length of time know that i love a casual chic look. and just because i’m in my fifties doesn’t mean i have to stop wearing my jean jacket or skirts that fall above my knee. although you won’t see me rocking a mini-skirt anytime soon. these days i’m happy to see the younger generation pull that one off. but as far as fashion goes, i’ve never really lived with a set of rules. i’m all about dressing for the occasion, whatever that may be. and for today’s ootd it’s all about dressing for the weekend. when saturday rolls around many of us have a few errands to run, are headed to a movie, or maybe it’s a day at the zoo. wherever our destination takes us one thing is clear – the mood is much more relaxed on the weekends. for me that means putting on a pair of jeans, maybe a cute skirt, or as in today’s ootd a super comfy dress. i’ve always loved jean jackets (even when they aren’t on trend) so if the weather is a bit chillier it is the perfect topper for skirts and dresses. these days, i’m in love with my panama hat from Target which is the perfect accessory for this outfit. add my lilly pulitzer sandals (also from Target) and i have an easy, breezy outfit that’s perfect for saturday or sunday.
