gingham style

gingham is quite on trend this spring. it’s popping up on blazers, shoes, and neckerchiefs. of course, we’ll always see the tried-and-true gingham button-up hanging around – it’s earned its way into the classic section. so why not give this trend a spin this spring? black and white are always all right in my book. and we all know how i love white denim anytime of the year. i guess putting these two style ingredients together leads to a fail-safe casual chic ootd. plus, the blouse has 3/4 length sleeves and is linen. this top will be put on repeat all through the summer here in georgia. i know many readers are speculating as to how my wardrobe will change since moving from chilly san francisco to hot and hotter athens. spending over a decade living in tropical climates i have some experience in this department. here’s a hint – skirts, shorts, and dresses. and this linen top will look darling paired with either shorts or a skirt. but for now, i think it looks terrific with white denim and black pointy-toed flats. of course, i couldn’t forget a few key accessories to complete this spring ensemble. so why not throw on an oversized necklace and a few silver bracelets?
