it’s official! the holiday shopping season is here. Amazon Prime Day has arrived and with it, all sorts of goodies are on sale. it’s the biggest sale of the year. that’s right. Amazon Prime Day has eclipsed Black Friday and Cyber Monday which is why i’m paying homage this year (i know y’all love a good sale). the only catch is that you have to be an Amazon Prime member. not a member yet? well, there’s free two-day shipping year-round so what are you waiting for? plus you have access to Prime Video and Prime Music. sign up here for a 30-day free trial membership (cancel anytime).
for the past ten years (or thereabouts) there hasn’t been a week that goes by without at least one item that arrives on my doorstep from Amazon. when mr. style and i lived in San Francisco even our groceries were delivered on our front stoop in the wee hours of the morning. dog food for Oscar? no problem. how about a new-fangled treat tossing gadget? it’s on my must-have list thanks to Amazon Prime Day Deals.
and books? while i love to walk into Barnes and Noble or a neighborhood bookstore and smell the ink nothing beats Amazon’s vast selection of books and free shipping. now’s your chance to sign up for book club with Style an online book club hosted by yours truly and Hank Phillipi Ryan a renowned mystery writer whose latest release is First to Lie. the selection for October is Confessions on the 7:45 by Lisa Unger and Careful What You Wish For by Hallie Ephron. catch the Zoom interviews later this month at book club with Style.
today instead of featuring the typical outfit of the day kelly and i rounded up a few things that we shop for at Amazon. it would be impossible to list everything on sale during the two-day Amazone Prime Day shopping extravaganza so we’re sharing our favorites. don’t worry Amazon has made your selection process as seamless as possible. you can shop by Prime Day Deals, Price, or Categories. happy shopping!
honestly, i don’t know where to start as everything from my Apple Watch, Apple Airpods, and Dyson Vacuum have all been ordered and delivered to my home from Amazon. the disadvantage of living in a small town is limited access to brick and mortar stores. i can’t tell you how many times Amazon has come to my rescue when it comes to shopping. when i headed to Tybee Island last summer guess who delivered my Yeti Cooler and stainless steel wine tumblers? yep, Amazon helped me get my beach game on. so here goes with a few of my favorite things.
if you’ve heard me say it once you’ve heard it a thousand times accessories make or break your outfit. and, yes, Amazon has a boatload of handbags, belts, sunglasses, and jewelry available to shop.
when i’m in a pinch my beauty and haircare products arrive from Amazon.
and, yes, i have travel on my radar screen again. can you say road trip?
i always go to Amazon first when i am looking for a kitchen tool. Amazon carries my favorite gadget brand: oxo, which makes finding what i want easy. plus, with my Prime membership, i can get Prime eligible items within a day or two. and shipping is always free for Prime members!
don’t forget you can click the heart icon below each image to get a sale alert sent directly to your inbox. this is my list of great kitchen gadgets and appliances at Amazon:
kitchen storage is another great thing to shop for on Amazon. oxo has a ton of kitchen storage items, which i love. but there are many other options too, like Rubbermaid.
if you tune into my kelly’s kitchen column on saturdays, you have probably noticed that i am a big fan of cast iron cooking. Lodge cast iron is affordable, pre-seasoned is offered in a range of sizes and types. and you can find them on Amazon! Prime members get free shipping, and when it comes to ordering heavy items like cast iron, free shipping is a huge deal!
dinnerware sets and serveware are another great finds at Amazon.
did you know that you can find beautiful glassware at Amazon too? one shop, in particular, caught my eye: Libbey. everything from classic barware, to modern and contemporary designs, perfect for your personal style.
i am quite particular about my home design and decor, so i was surprised to find several items for the home that would go well with my aesthetic. shopping for throw pillows, lighting, bedding, and bathroom organization items is so easy on Amazon.
