Enjoy Father’s Day grilling tomorrow, lobster rolls, fruit bowls, watermelon, and homemade ice cream!! Think checks, seersucker and chinos…. bathing suits, pools, and beaches!! Summer libations abound…pool and bar drinks made by masters…and what would summer be without a trip to wine country?? Our longest day of the year – the summer solstice – between June 20 and 22 each year. This year it’s this Monday, June 21. Enjoy some of my favorite things, and cheers!! R. Every year in Beverly Hills – one of my former hometowns – there is a very special, annual Father’s Day Car Show – Beverly Hills Tour d’Elegance on Rodeo Drive!! Not to be missed!! The Beverly Hills Hotel and famed “ Bungalows” are spectacular! The “Pink Palace” has been enjoyed by Hollywood royalty for years! If those walls could talk!! Imagine!! I remember brunching there, alongside Jimmy Stewart in the Polo Lounge, in his later years – so elegant, so charming – no shorts accepted for lunch there!! Happy, fun memories!
