fridays with oscar
oscar and i are kicking of mother’s day weekend with a special treat – zombie donuts! every once in awhile a little indulgence is a-okay in my book. the architecture details are as scrumptious as the food in this cute little donut shop tucked a block away from UGA. what’s not to love about a restaurant that boasts crystal chandeliers, exposed brick walls, and tin ceilings? and i like the concept that builds-your-own donut. it’s somewhat like adding toppings to a pizza. the typical culprits like powdered sugar or chocolate glaze are lined up on the menu. then it’s up to you to create your signature donut with exotic extras like bacon or oreo cookies. am i ever glad i hit the gym this morning to assuage all those calories i’m about to consume! hopefully, i won’t have a sugar hangover come noon. but i’m willing to take the hit as oscar and i wanted to wish all those mothers out there a very happy mother’s day!

Enjoy the donut, I believe that an active lifestyle, eating everything in moderation and enjoying treats and wine (drinks) is the way to go!! I really like the pop of the T shirt under the green jacket. Again, Beth, I always say you have the most wonderful bag (and shoe) collection. One day, maybe you’ll treat us to a tour of these treasures!

I love the colors you are wearing. You do have the greatest accessories. You are fortunate to have a body type to wear white and light on the bottom. I am small but this pear shaped body doesn’t look balanced if I wear anything light on the bottom. Can’t change your body shape no matter how much you exercise or lose weight. You always look terrific.
we do have to work with what we have! but i do think there are many flattering fits for pear shapes. imo it’s the fabric not the color that would throw off the balance. a beautiful pant made out of crepe would drape beautifully. just a thought.

we bought a plain cake donut for oscar. but i don’t think he missed the sprinkle on top.
