Another week has come and gone, which means one thing, Friday has arrived once again. Oscar is ready for his weekly gig and was more than interested in the chicken that went into this delicious Strawberry Mango salad that’s perfect for the waning days of summer. Can you believe Labor Day weekend is only two weeks away? No one loves fall fashion more than this girl, and I always love to pull my sweaters and boots out of storage. But there are still a few weeks more for summer living and the outfits that go with it. So today, slowly easing into fall in comfort.
The Summary
Today we’re slowly easing into fall in comfort with an outfit from J.Jill
The outfit is modeled, and I pulled together 2 alternates

Slowly Easing Into Fall In Comfort
1. Wearever Ribbed Pullover
(J.Jill)
This time of year, I slowly ease into fall by changing my color palette. Neutral colors help transition from one season to the next. Today, I reached for a gray sweater and a pair of comfy black, smooth-fit slim-leg pants. Both are from J.Jill.
Fridays are always about comfort, but we can still combine comfort and style for a polished and chic look. Accessories help add that spit and polish, so I chose a multi-strand necklace in a contrasting color. Add a pair of black sandals and this outfit is in the books!

In Case You Missed It
Yesterday, I shared 5 trends you’re never too old to wear. Click the title or image below to read the article.
Pretty outfit and delicious looking salad! I don’t know what it is with German Shepherds and chicken but my Gunther too goes crazy if he smells chicken!!! Then again, he always ends up getting a bite or two…. ๐
Oscar is always lucky enough to snag a bite or two of chicken too…
Everything looks great today. You, Oscar, the drink the salad, and your house! Do you get a tall in those pants from JJill? Do they shrink when washed and lined dried? They look so stylish and if you say they are comfortable, that’s a win in my book.
I bought a regular, not a tall. And I haven’t washed the pants yet, but I’ve never had a problem with J.Jill clothes. The quality is quite good.
Love todays outfit Beth! You look marvelous my dear, just marvelous! And Oscar its great to see you! I look forward to Fridays. Especially since my beloved Rilee passed. Tomorrow will be an especially good day for me. My neighbor & dear friends have asked me to dog sit while they attend an all day family function several hours north. I am delighted. It’ll be great fun. Always love your outfits Beth. Thank you so much.
Oh, that’s so sweet of you to dog sit. You’ll get your fill of dog kisses. Enjoy!
Hi Beth,
You “got me” with this post! Bought it all except the necklace. I always try to look polished and this transition outfit has that look! (Of course my JJlll coupon expired 2 days ago! Always my luck!)
I really hate it when summer, my favorite season, comes to a close, but an easy outfit like this helps!
Love the salad recipe, but when I click on “print recipe” it takes me back to the top of your post and doesn’t
print!
Don’t know if anyone else is having that problem.
Can this be fixed or is there someplace else to print out the recipe? Thanks…
Hi Nancy,
I’m sorry to hear you’re having problems. We checked the site on our end, and everything checked out. I would suggest clearing your computer cache and trying again.
Fingers crossed.
i think It has taken me a long time to figure out how to transition into fall. I think your advice about using neutrals is bang on. I appreciate your stance that women “of a certain age” can still look stylish and beautiful. Thanks!
