    Good morning Beth!
I love this dress…I’m a pushover for easy knit dresses, and black is my go-to for much of my wardrobe.
Have a question, though. How would you belt a dress like this if your tummy isn’t what it should be?
Between the fabled memo-pot and the 8 pounds I gained during Covid ( it’s coming off, slowly but surely), I have a lot of weight in my midsection.
Should I just avoid a belt and let a dress like this hang? If I belt it, does the belt go around the largest part of my tummy, or below/above it?
I’ve paired a similar dress with a blazer, and it looked chic. But, sometimes I don’t want to wear a jacket.
    Help!!!!

i just watched a television show Sweet Magnolias where one of the leads is plus size with an apple shape. she belted her dress at the waist and looked adorable. i’ve also seen women belt their dresses a bit higher near their bra line. but this might look foreign to you so give yourself some time to ease into the look. we’ve been trained for so long to hide our figure flaws and to look slim at all costs especially when it comes to our tummies.

Ok, thank you. I will give this a try….but also going to try to whittle that waist a bit! 🤣🤣🤣

I really like that dress on you. And as you, I wear separates mostly, but this tempts me for its style and versatility! What size are you wearing in it, Beth?

    Hi Beth

Loving that black dress, a favorite of mine. I am admiring the apple watch bracelet, have you a link to share? Thanks so much

Hi Beth. This post inspired me to buy a similar ponte knit fit and flair dress for our approaching Autumn. I will be styling it with a pair of plum suede ballet flats.
