at the moment, i am on a mini-vacay at Lake Oconee, which is a hop, skip, and jump from Athens. it’s a beautiful man-made lake tucked between Atlanta and Augusta. downtown Greensboro is about 10 minutes from the Ritz Carlton, a charming town founded in 1786 after Revolutionary War hero Nathanael Greene. it’s been a backdrop for several of our photoshoots over the years, and we always stop at the corner store on our way to Tybee. if you are ever in this neck of the woods, stop by. honestly, Georgia dishes up some of the most beautiful scenery known to mankind.
if you have travel plans in the short term, may i recommend this adorable dress from Scoop? it packs like a dream and has fun written all over it, thanks to its cheerful print and color scheme. this budget-friendly midi dress hits all my buttons – beautiful ruffle hem, lined to the knee, and long sleeves with fitted cuff. y’all know i love belts, so i added a wide gold belt (old, similar here) to this dress. gold block sandals (old, similar here and here) were the perfect complement to the gold belt. a pair of nude shoes would also go well with this dress, but metallic shoes also act as a neutral. and i couldn’t resist adding an orange handbag from Mark & Graham. this particular bamboo handle handbag has been on my must-have list for several years. this was the year i finally added it to my collection. prepare yourselves as it will be on style repeat all spring and summer. Mark & Graham also offer monograms, so if that’s your thing, you can personalize your handbag.
many of you have been asking about my sunglasses. every year i add one pair, but mostly i wear sunglasses from up to ten years old. this pair is from Krewe purchased three years ago.
