if there’s one designer that has preppy style down pat it’s ralph lauren. a preppy look can be a bit sporty, but if done right its key elements will add uncomplicated chic to your office attire.
a great choice for a nine-to-five look is this houndstooth cardigan with faux leather trim. this cardi would look great with a pencil skirt or a pair of blue jeans. but today, i chose a jersey dress. what an effortless fabric to wear all year round. classic accessories such as an equestrian-inspired belt, and riding boots add a dash of preppy flair. i dressed up this ootd with a white blouse. but the silver cuff bracelet and hoop earrings reinforce the details found on the jacket and belt buckle.
anyone notice the best accessory of all? that’s right, a white mercedes with black details was the perfect backdrop to my black and white outfit. some days, you just get lucky!

Put in a ebay search on the belt. How does the sizing run? True? Small? Large? Could you wear you regular size with pants or did you have to size up? Or do you only wear on dresses (so your regular size).

this belt is adjustable so you can expand it up and down by three notches. i have on a size M but i typically wear this belt with skirts and dresses as it’s too big for belt loops.
