this year is all about blue. whether a traditional navy, baby blue, or aquamarine, there is a shade of blue perfect for you. today’s ootd starts with a summerweight linen-blend midi dress in a gorgeous blue shade that has an attached sash and pockets. as far as fit, i purchased a size medium but could easily have sized down to a small. blue and white is a color scheme that screams summer fun so i decided a pair of white sandals were in order to complement this dreamy blue linen dress. for chic, comfy, and trendy shoes, Stuart Weitzman is always a favorite. since it’s mother’s day, i decided to treat myself to these white sandals that are a little spendy but will get oodles of wear all summer long. affordable options here, here, and here. both the dress and shoes are available at Nordstrom and were delivered right to my front doorstep. that’s what i love the most about Nordstrom – free shipping and returns that make my life easy. living in a small town has its pluses and minuses. thankfully there’s a solution when it comes to shopping.

Thank you for another inspiring post. I get so much, and so many ideas for styling outfits from you. May I ask how you store your clothes? You seem to have a large amount of clothes. I am gradualy adding to my wardrobe but am fast running out of storage space. I live in a 15th century cottage. The cottage is very lovely and full of character but people who lived here when it was first built, and throughout the years had very different clothing requirements and therefore no need for storage.
older homes are a challenge when it comes to closet space. I’m lucky as i converted a bedroom into a closet so have oodles of space.
but i do look for things like baskets or under-the-bed storage that will give you additional space. also, hanging racks can look chic
just standing alone in a room.

Help! My son is getting married at a beach wedding in Hawaii in October. I have no idea what to wear. Can you offer any suggestions? The only guidance I’ve received is that my dress should be a neutral (but not dark) color with little to no pattern. I’d prefer a midi dress with short(ish) sleeves. Any help you can offer is greatly appreciated!

that’s why i mentioned sizing down. I’m fairly tall so it wasn’t a problem especially with the built-in sash. but i would size down.
Another beautiful blue dress that brings out your hair and eyes. I love those shoes, too. It’s nice to see a sleeveless style that has perfectly-sized armholes.
