Happy Thursday! Alex and I made our annual trip to Lake Oconee this week to stay at the Ritz Carlton. September is our favorite time to go – the weather is gorgeous, and with families back in school, it’s a very quiet and relaxing time. We always make a few new acquaintances, which leads to fun and interesting conversations. And as always, it’s great to be back home again, even after just a few days to recharge our batteries.

Plus, find another way to style the pants a the end of the post
Today I am excited to share one of my favorite fall and winter prints, Houndstooth. I am always on the lookout for fun prints and patterns and these Carnaby Kick Crop Pants fit the bill. A sleeveless sweater vest pairs well, not only because of the color combination, but I am always interested in mixing textures. This vest is from last year, but I have collected 3 similars, find them below.
I love these pants not only for the perfect fall color palette, but the pattern changes, creating wide bands of alternating larger and smaller pattern – the visual interest is fun and different. The material is light, with forgiving and flattering stretch. Incredibly comfortable! The fabric has a little bit of sheen to it, which adds versatility; I can add a blazer and heels to dress it up a bit.
Yesterday, Beth and I shared the Colette Pant in both a lightweight print and denim – for petite and regular. Click the title or image below to read the article.
