one reason to love a change of season is how outerwear can spice up your look. and there’s a considerable amount of variety out there that caters to your climate, and mood. so i’ve gathered a few of my favorite pieces to help your creative juices start flowing. from jean jackets to leather moto’s, ponchos, and trenches, you just might find something to add to your repertoire this fall. even if you live in the frozen tundra there’s no reason not to have a stylish coat or two hanging in your closet. enjoy!
nothing beats a jean jacket for milder temperatures.
boyfriend cardigans add a laid-back and fun element to jeans.
what is more classic than leather jackets? they truly stand the test of time, and look better with age.
this two-toned jacket is casual and chic. i think i need to wear this more often.
ponchos, wraps, ruanas, capes always lend a note of sophistication. they also look great with hats.
one of my all-time favorite jackets that my husband picked out for me over twenty years ago while living in texas.
vests continue to be on trend this year (i don’t think they ever go out). the fur vest was my father’s that i’ve hung on to all these years. it was the lining to his favorite jacket. i always think of him when i wear it.
the trench coat has been an iconic staple for over 100 years. it’s fun to mix it up a little with animal print or different shapes and colors.
pea coats, car coats, and parkas are perfect when the snow starts to fly.

OMG, I’ve overwhelmed. How do you do it. Fabulous. I love the way you wear the necklace on top of the jacket around your neck. Too many favorites to pick just one. Your beautiful in all and make me look like a mess! 🙂

You have the best closet! And I love how you put it all together!
I always love these “themed” posts where I get to see how you wear a certain type of clothing (and there is always something new and unexpected!)
