one last photo in the queue with my asymmetrical cut. typically, i have several weeks worth of photos lined up in case of inclement weather, or other unforeseen last-minute snafus that come along with life. but recently my computer crashed, and all of our photos along with it…that was a super fun day if i remember correctly. anyway, i thought i might as well post this ootd sooner rather than later, considering my latest hairstyle is dramatically different. don’t you love the backdrop to our photo set? this shoot took place at the botanical gardens shortly after a much-needed rainstorm. as we all know i’m a sucker for blazers, and this particular one happens to be a fall favorite due to its traditional glen plaid pattern and rich color palette. instead of my usual blue jeans i donned a pair of faux leather leggings. a jeweled gray sweatshirt lends an air of casual chic and is the perfect color companion to brown. think how menswear combines colors if you’re on the lookout for a classic take. this time of year, i try to wear my suede booties as often as possible before the streets (hopefully) are dotted with raindrops. a designer handbag completes this look and lends an air of old world charm to an otherwise modern version of preppy style. this blog post is linked to up the amazing Catherine at Not Dressed as Lamb. check out her blog if you haven’t had a chance!
