how do you take chilly temps in stride? with a patterned coat, and a cup of hot coffee. bold print is not for the faint of heart, but if you’re nudged out of your comfort zone and embrace pattern you won’t be sorry. i can see this coat worn in multiple ways, but for today’s ootd i played it safe with head-to-toe black so the spotlight shone on this cocoon coat by Banana Republic. and, if ever i abandon color in my wardrobe it’s typically in favor of black and white. it’s sleek, and chic, and is hard to beat for it’s elegance factor. i can’t think of a better way to jump start my morning than a brisk walk to the coffee shop in a stylish new coat.

I almost got the same coat! But the sizes they had left didn’t work. I got another black/white coat at BR instead!
did you buy the black and white plaid? don’t you love BR’s fall collection? they are getting better and better.
