and my love affair with Talbots Parisian collection is still going strong. school girl blouses with a feminine bow are on trend this fall. my take was a lace version with a scalloped hem and velvet bow. what a simple, yet elegant look that will pair perfectly with velvet pants come holiday season. yes, christmas is 118 days away. i know, i know, we haven’t even made it to labor day. but as we all know we’ll blink and it will be time to wrap presents.
but back to today’s ootd. many times when i sport a feminine item, i like to balance it with something masculine. so i reached for a military blazer. this one is last season from Zara. but Talbots has a gorgeous twill version this fall. the collar is piped in red, take a look here. there’s something about big brass buttons that make my heart go pitter patter.
since it’s date night, a pair of nude pumps is back in action. take a look here for a lower heel. plus, black beaded earrings for a little extra glamor. if you prefer a more casual outfit just exchange the pumps for flats the clutch for a structured bag and any old earrings you prefer. gotta love choices, ladies. isn’t it fun to tweak your style?
are you ready for tuesday? i know i am because when wednesday rolls into town, it will only be 117 days until christmas. just sayin’.

Yes and a bit more uneasy about this one that past “showers”. Loss of power is the biggest thing to overcome in this heat and for work commitments. Our son is heading to our place tonight. He is on the west coast. Will feel better with him here. Looks like you will get soggy on this one too. Plus 6million south FL residents are heading your way. This is why the governor does not want us to all evac. It’s safer in our hurricane ready homes than on the roads. Thanks for asking and stay dry!
