winter wonderland
it’s always fun to read comments from my readers! i love to hear from each of you even if i get behind with my answers. and i do pay attention to your recommendations. just last week a suggestion rolled in from FB that i visit Chateau Elan Winery. it’s located in northern georgia about a 45-minute drive from athens. so guess what? mr. style and i hopped in the car to scope out the scenery for future photo sessions. and it is a beautiful setting — both inside and out. of course, mr. style always has his camera in hand, and it was a good thing as the christmas decorations reminded us of a winter wonderland.
chateau elan not only boasts a winery, but a golf course and spa. i’m so happy to have discovered this little gem. thank you, lovely readers, for your comments and suggestions. mr. style and i are already planning a weekend getaway to take full advantage of the spa. don’t you think a post-holiday massage sounds divine?!
we did manage to squeeze in lunch at cafe elan located in the winery. and it was delightful. mr. style tried the pulled pork sandwich, and i chose the blt with a fried green tomato, arugula and garlic aioli. it was delish! and we had the privilege of meeting a charming young man, Sem, from the netherlands. Sem is halfway through his 10-month internship at Chateau Elan Winery, and he shared his thoughts on america, the netherlands, capitalism, socialism, and all things that pertain to being a twenty-something with such enthusiasm that i just had to share his photo. good luck Sem, with all of your future endeavors!

i loved pairing these pants with a completely different color scheme than the first go-round. and sem was such a delightful young man. all smiles and charm. he bought his first car here in america, and lives with 3 young women from korea and 4 young men from the netherlands. talk about diversity.
