who’s ready for the weekend? okay, technically, it’s thursday which means saturday is still two days away, but this week has been jam-packed so i’m more than ready for a laid-back day. isn’t this the perfect ootd for a saturday filled with stops at the farmers market, coffee shop, and florist? if i threw on a red scarf i’d be ready for a georgia bulldogs game! a long vest continues to trend this fall. i particularly like how it looks paired with leggings. there’s coverage in all the right spots. but these leggings have an amazing fit. they’re made of ponte knit (one of my favorite fabrics) and have a hidden tummy-slimming panel. in past years, i’d never been a big fan of leggings. but that will change this fall due to the terrific fit this pair offers. stay tuned to future posts. of course, black leggings and a crisp white shirt are a no-brainer. but add a pair of ballet flats that are perfect for a busy day on your feet, and you have conquered weekend chic. saturday, i’m calling your name.

Love the monochromatic, graphic look. And yes–leggings were never my thing in the past, but the last few years I’ve worn them with some cute things and I’ve come to enjoy them with tunics, short dresses sometimes, and big white shirts. I didn’t realize Christopher Banks had shoes; never can pass up a good ballet flat. Are they comfy?
these ballet flats are comfy, sue! and a great price. love your suggestion of leggings with a dress and think i’ll have to come up with my version of that. oversized sweaters will look adorable. you’ll have to share some photos!

Whenever I see women wearing leggings (I mean women properly wearing leggings – coverage in all the right spots, as you say) I feel tempted to try it on me, but then I see other women wearing leggings as it was jeans and I get scared! Maybe I will try leggings this Fall, with gorgeous vests like yours or with tunics or long pretty shirts… who knows I turn a legging fan?
leggings can be tricky, maria, but i think it boils down to how they’re styled. i’ll be trotting these out with long sweaters and maybe even a dress…. we’ll see. but this pair is very comfortable and flattering.

the first thing i did after purchasing the latest edition of glamor was to flip to the
‘do’s and don’ts page. used to love that feature. but you’re not alone in your sentiments of leggings. they can be tricky. but if styled the right way they’re pretty fab.

I don’t wear leggings often either. In fact I only own one pair and I bought them last year from WALMART!!! because they had cute little penguins on them. Ha! I think I wore them twice. I love the look on other people though, so I may actually add some to my wardrobe.

i think the big difference is in how you style leggings. and i’ve never quite got the hang of them, but i’m going to be experimenting this fall as these are so dang comfortable and flattering.
