this week, we’ve been talking about closet essentials and classic style here at style at a certain age. and i would be remiss if i didn’t include a head-to-toe black ensemble. to be certain, every woman should own a lbd. but the same holds true for an lbj. what’s that you ask? why, that would the quintessential black jacket that can take you anywhere. today, i’m partnering with christopher and banks and wearing their modern zip-front jacket that seamlessly transitions from desk to dinner. it’s made of ponte knit which is an absolute dream to wear. and i’ve popped the jacket over a long tunic and their signature slimming ponte pants. i’m particularly loving the tapered leg and hidden tummy-slimming panel. tonight, i’m headed out for cocktails with mr. style so i added a few fun accessories to jazz things up. don’t forget a bold lip and high heels bring instant glamor to any outfit. but if i wanted to keep this ootd looking easy and breezy and office appropriate i’d exchange the heels for flats, tuck in the tunic, and slip on a black belt. now how easy is that? for now, it’s all about evening glam and a nice glass of cabernet.

The jacket looks very versatile–you could really glam it up or dress it down. Nice, elongating look with all black. The shoes are excellent with this!
this jacket is just darn cute, sue! and, yes, it is so versatile. i’m certain you will see it on repeat this fall. have your travels started yet? you’ll have to keep me posted with your schedule.
