when the dog days of summer set in it’s time to punch up your wardrobe with a splash of color. and while blue is a neutral in my book (i wear it with everthing), i’m always tickled to slip pink into the wardrobe rotation every chance i get. but when shocking pink is paired with a vibrant shade of green you just know summer is in full swing. raise your hand if watermelons have become an after dinner treat? i sprinkle a little salt on mine for a sweet and savory dessert. a trick learned from dad. so why not let this humble fruit become my ootd inspiration? from the watermelon cardi to the green straw handbag this outfit puts a smile on my face and a zing to my step. pops of color always seem to do that! even if the summer temps are soaring into triple digits here in georgia, the real sizzle comes from this casual chic outfit.

This is a pretty look. The pink top under the sweater is a nice touch, too!
nothing says summer like watermelon! love this outfit on you…pink and green is classic… xoxo
and the watermelon has been exceptionally good lately! at least here in georgia. don’t you just love pink and green? my room growing up was decorated in pink and green so i’ll always have a soft spot for it.

Whether its a business meeting, a ladies luncheon, or church, this is a perfect southern summer outfit! I love it. And wasn’t Tickled Pink a Boone’s Farm wine???

hmmm, not sure about Boone’s Farm. when i was drinking that vintage i wasn’t paying attention to the label…

I really like the pink top you paired with the sweater. I actually have that sweater and the green bag as well–I’m thoroughly enjoying them. Some people complain about the bracelet length sleeves, but as someone who almost always pushes my sleeves up, I happen to be a big fan. Cute look. Those tweed shoes are fabulous. You’re just a vision of loveliness! đ
isn’t this watermelon sweater adorable?! i’m with you – i like the bracelet sleeve. even with a long sleeve blouse it’s nice to cuff the sleeve over the sweater for a polished look. now that august has rolled into town we have to wear this cute summer sweater as much as we can.
