the search for the perfect white tee shirt can be daunting. the fabric shouldn’t be too opaque, but the cut must be flattering. and short sleeves? some of us love them, and some of us don’t. personally, i wear sleeveless and short sleeves all summer long to help beat the heat. once fall makes a reappearance, they’re a great layering piece under a blazer or cardigan. but i think we all agree that a white tee is a wardrobe essential that goes with everything. now, where do we find the perfect one? well, i have good news. many of you remember this amazing little black dress i wore made from bamboo cotton. right then and there i became a big fan of Southcott Threads. little did i know at the time that the company made tee shirts – lots of tee shirts made from bamboo cotton. and that’s not all. since i’m always on the hunt for the perfect white tee, i put Southcott Threads to the test. what was on my must-have list? fabric that was thick enough that you can’t see my bra but airy and lightweight. and i wanted a flattering fit. nothing too boxy, too short, or too revealing. i wasn’t asking for much. right?! enter dawn draper (don’t you love the name?) with a soft cowl neckline and cap sleeves. of course, we all know how fabulous a white tee looks with dark denim. all that’s needed for a night out on the town are statement earrings and snazzy shoes. but what else looks fantastic with a white tee? let’s take a look at how dawn draper fared. 

for a casual afternoon pair a white tee with green cargo pants similar here for an easy breezy look. add a few key accessories in brown, and you are ready for the weekend.

white tees are a perfect addition to any casual outfit. but can they offer the polish needed for a busy day at the office? well, i’m happy to report dawn draper looks fantastic underneath a blazer paired with a skirt. add a pair of block heel pumps, a statement handbag, and this outfit is the perfect nine-to-five look.
