it’s a denim kind of day today with another round of overcast skies. it has been one rain storm after another in this neck of the woods. with unusually mild temps to boot. i will not complain. yet. although a stretch of sunshine would be a welcome sight. while i’m waiting, i’ll throw on some blue jeans. or maybe a double dose as i couldn’t resist trotting out my latest version of a denim jacket.
today, the jacket is flying solo as i converted it into a shirt. but this cute little number with a longer length, ties at the waist and pockets can be styled a gazillion ways. today’s version is secured at the waist with an old-fashioned hook and eye. but i added a little glitz to the top with the addition of a favorite brooch that’s put to work to keep the flap closed. frayed hem jeans are my go-to favorites this spring. the shorter length is perfect for showcasing all the details of a of fab pair of sandals. and the accessories? i tied in a gold cuff and earrings to the gold trim on the sandals. done and done. now if we could only catch a glimpse of old mr. sun.
happy tuesday!

Nice look! Love the brooch…the shoes are perfect with it. Years ago I had a denim outfit similar to what you have put together. We have a near perfect day here…sun, no wind, no rain, mid-70’s… xoxo
hi donna! i’m always on the hunt for brooches and pins, they always add that wow factor.

Love Denim! Great confy ook.
hi sandra! i hope you are on the mend.

I don’t know why, but the word “jaunty” came to mind when I saw this outfit. It is fun, zippy and as always, I love the way you accessorize!
i love it! you will see this denim jacket again on the blog. most likely worn as a jacket. i love the longer length and the ties on the inside so you can cinch the waist.
xoxo
Love the pin and sandals–great contrast and it makes them really pop.
always love to sneak in these sandals that i wore non-stop last year. they are so dang cute, sue!

By far your best outfit since long: the red trousers with the yellow cardigan and whitish T-shirt. Though generally I like your outfits though I think your dresses/skirts are, for my taste, a bit to short. I think one can be sincere “between us”
