fall wouldn’t be complete without a leather jacket. or as, in this case, a faux leather jacket. it’s the perfect layering piece when the temps dip. not too heavy, not too light, it’s just right. this ‘around town’ jacket by christopher and banks is modern and fresh with its moto details. take a look at the zippered pockets and stand collar. plus, there are several colors to choose from. today, i played it safe with the color camel that will mix and match with so many items in my closet. but i have my eye on the ‘wishful red’ that has that wow factor! i paired the uptown jacket with the uptown modern fit pant in brown. this is the perfect choice for those of you who like a pant that sits just below your waist. and they are super comfy to wear. a splash of color is added with this tapestry scarf. and voila, another ootd is in the books. don’t you think i’m ready to tackle the streets of minneapolis in style?
happy hump day!

I purchased the same camel jacket and a similar scarf at C&B for a September trip to Maine. The jacket was a perfect weight and style that I could wear with any color pants, including dark denim. Also, it has nice lines even in the back, so it appears tailored yet loose enough to wear layers underneath without looking bulky. In fact, when I returned to the store after my trip, I encouraged another shopper to buy this versatile jacket for her upcoming trip to Cape Cod. So happy to have found your blog and Christopher & Banks – both have great looks for women our age.
hi darlene! thanks for stopping by.
then you know how fab this jacket truly is. and i’m happy you brought up the nice details on the back of the jacket. it definitely adds definition and keeps it looking streamlined instead of bulky.
how fun to visit maine. i have never been but i hear the scenery is breathtaking.

Love the colors in the scarf! I am definitely the queen of scarves–I must have a thousand of them, but I’m always attracted to them. It’s embarrassing how many I have. They add such a nice punch with neutrals etc. Great look!
sue, you can never have too many scarves! they always save the day with a punch of color. when we lived in san francisco i never went anywhere without a scarf. it always cased that chill away.

What a great jacket and so versatile! Headed over to C&B.
hi talia! let me know how you like the jacket. i’m loving the versatility it offers and the wide range of colors offered. that red is something else…
