It’s easy to wear white denim with pretty blouses, strappy flat sandals, and solid basics like grey, camel, navy, and black. White denim is the perfect blend of elevated and utilitarian, instantly refreshing your warm-weather closet and delivering effortless pared-back style, whatever the occasion.

White Denim

Wear white denim with camel or navy to exude timeless elegance. Or add a pop of color to grab attention. Some of the chicest white jeans outfits were anchored by prized pieces of spring outerwear, like quilted shell jackets, black overcoats, and bomber jackets.
Today, I chose the classic color combo of navy and white that’s all right. Start with a pair of cropped white denim and a striped rib tee, then add a frayed denim tweed jacket from Chico’s.
I chose a pair of metallic buckle flats from Talbots, trending this season, to keep the outfit modern and fresh.
White Denim Style Tips
- Buy a thicker material. You do not want your jeans to be see-through.
- Go for a straight leg, not a jegging or skinny fit!
- Consider where they fall. Just above the ankle can look great with most shoes. A longer flare can work with a heel.
- Look at the material. You want a tiny percentage of synthetic cotton for comfort. They will be stiffer if you get 100% cotton, but they won’t lose their shape. Some of the baggier new styles are all cotton.
