Last week, my husband, Alex, and I traveled to New Orleans for French Quarter Fest. If you’re a music fan, and festivals feel like events from our younger years, this festival will change your mind! French Quarter Fest is spread out over the entire French Quarter, which means you can walk, sightsee, and hear wonderful music from zydeco to brass bands, and early 20th-century jazz filling the streets. The festival is free, so no ticketing, no pressure to be in one place. It’s really one of the finest music festivals in the States. 

But even if you’re not headed to NOLA for a music festival, I am sharing my guide to spending 3 days in New Orleans. Where to stay, where to eat, and what to wear.
