  1. Julie Mycock says:

Hi Beth, Julie from England here or Florida at the moment on holiday. Can I just say that your skin looks amazing. A few months off turning 60 I’m like yourself just want to look as good as I can for my age and if I’m told that I look younger then I’ll take it. I’ve incorporated a Vitamin C serum into my skincare regime and it certainly does make a difference. If your skin looks good I think you feel good too, plus you don’t need to use as much makeup, less is more.
I’ve purchased the Systane restore & balance eye drops whilst here in Florida as I forgot to pack mine. They are so good, my eyes seem less irritated, clearer and brighter too so I’m going to look out for them back in the UK, I know I can buy them from Amazon UK. Thank you for all your suggestions with skincare, makeup and once again you look amazing. Have a great Sunday x

hi julie! you are so right about your skin. if it looks good we feel good. the two go hand in hand. i hope you’ve enjoyed your stay in florida! perfect time of year for a visit. xo

  2. Thanks for the advice. I will check the Sephora store in London Ontario Canada for some of the brands that you mentioned.

  3. Nancy says:

I am not happy the way my skin is aging. I have tried many products and really nothing seems to be helping. I am wondering if you have gone to a dermatologist and what kind of products you got from them? How was it cost wise? I am 61 and I very thin skin. I have lost weight and the wrinkles seem deeper. I am losing this battle.

    • Beth Djalali says:

hii nancy! yes, i visit my dermatologist once a year as i have had a bout with skin cancer. nine times out of ten they will recommend retin a in some form or another. many products available over the counter include retin a so be on the lookout for this buzz word along with peptitdes. do you have a consistent routine in place? my skincare products change but my routine stays in place morning and night. cleanse, serum, eye cream, moisturizer in the morning. cleanse, vitamin c, moisturizer at night. and lots of other products during the week like exfoliators or a mask.
      xo

Beth, great advice!! Change of subject…where did you find that long military looking denhim jacket you are wearing I can not find a link for it?

  5. Dessie I says:

I truly admire your approach and attitude toward aging.

  6. Jacquelyne says:

I enjoyed reading this so much, thank you! I am 74 years old and find some of my products simply aren’t working any longer. I’ve read your list and will incorporate them into my daily routine. Have a beautiful evening.

  7. Denise says:

I checked Urban Decay and it’s hypoallergenic so that works for me. My question is do you line under your eyes? I like to use liner under my eyes for a smudged look, but it tends to wear off and smear after an hour or so, almost like the area is oily. I’m 71 and will not give up my eye makeup, I’d go commando first.

    • Beth Djalali says:

hi denise! love your attitude. i do not line under my eyes. but i try to go for the less is more approach. if you like more is more – go girl, go! xo

  8. Janelle says:

Hi Beth, I know exactly what you are talking about with the sun exposure in our youth. I use a mix of tinted moisturizer and foundation also. I’m currently using Beautycounter Tint Skin in porcelain and Clinique Even Better broad spectrum foundation SPF 15. One thing I always do as I’ve aged is to put this combo further down my neck and even on my chest if I’m wearing a lower neckline. I don’t wear shorts or capris anymore, but I use Aveeno Positively Radiant CC Cream for larger areas such as forearms and hands. Love your blog and classic style!
