Happy Memorial Day weekend, ladies!  I hope you're getting a chance for some relaxation, and most importantly, to spend the weekend with the people that you love most.  I've got all of the kiddos in town this weekend, and we're going to be BBQing later today---cannot beat burgers and dogs on a hot Summer day.

1. Sandals

Nothing says summer more than a pair of slide sandals.  And I'm absolutely loving this year's selection.  Talbots, Madewell, and J.Crew have all knocked it out of the park this season.  They're constantly making our readers' top favorites.

2. Hats

Summer provides the easiest excuse to wear hats.  Going to the beach?  Check.  Celebrating the Derby?  Check.  How about a baseball game?  Check.  Nothing like a Panama hat to beat the heat on a hot Summer day.

3. Graphic Tees

Anyone who follows the blog regularly knows how much I love a good graphic tee.  I will take any opportunity to go shopping for a new one.  So many fun ones this year, and I'm really loving Saks as THE place to shop for them.

Tuckernuck and FARM Rio have really come on strong with their dress selection.  Whether you're looking for something a little more classic and subdued; or whether you're looking for an eye-popping, colorful statement piece, both of those retailers have you covered.

5. White Sneakers

I'm such a big proponent of white sneakers, I wrote an entire blog post celebrating them.  It's hard to overlook the classics:  Adidas, Nike, and Keds.  A lot of value for your dollar there.  But don't overlook some of the higher-end designers for new takes on old classics.

6. Swimsuits

Talbots and J.Crew take my top spots for swimsuits this year.  Absolutely loving the one-shoulder selection from both retailers.  But don't forget swim dresses this year.  They're totally in style.

7. Wicker & Straw bags

Much like slide sandals, a wicker or straw handbag absolutely screams "Summer".  J.McLaughlin is fast becoming my favorite retailer for handbags, and their summer selection is absolutely fantastic.
