and what is not to love about Nordstrom’s epic annual anniversary sale when you can select a number of key fall or winter items before the season begins? many of you might remember kelly, and i bopped down to Atlanta for a dressing room try-on session. i know, i know you still have to wait for ten must-have gifts under $50. but don’t forget to read Nordstrom dressing room diaries.

some of my favorite fall sweaters (and yours) and boots were purchased in july. the prices for my favorite designers like Vince are much more palatable during the anniversary sale.

okay, gang, that’s a wrap for this sunday. let me know if Christmas shopping has commenced at your house. with Thanksgiving so late this year, i’m torn as to when to start. the same with my decorations. but kelly and i built a mini-stash of gifts that’s certain to come in handy. happy sunday!

Irish Coffee

  1. 4 ounces hot coffee (smooth blends work best)
  2. 1.5 ounces Irish whiskey (Buena Vista uses Tullamore Dew)
  3. 2 sugar cubes
  4. 1.5 ounces heavy cream (lightly whipped, not stiff)
  1. Fill a 6-ounce clear heatproof glass with hot water to warm the glass. Pour out when the glass feels warm to the touch. Add the whiskey to the glass.
  2. Fill the glass 3/4 of the way with hot coffee and then add the 2 sugar-cubes. Stir until completely dissolved.
  3. Holding a spoon over the glass. Start to slowly pour the slightly thickened, whipped cream over the spoon into the glass until full.
